Maxam’s AgriXtra XL tyres Earn DLG approval for outstanding performance
The cokmpany says the recognition underscores Maxam’s commitment to delivering high-value, high-performance solutions for the agricultural sector.
In recent comparative tests conducted by the DLG in Germany, the AgriXtra XL tyres delivered three critical advantages compared to leading competitors:
> Reduced soil compaction: Field tests demonstrated that the Maxam AgriXtra XL VF710/70R42 tyres left the smallest track depth of just 7.3cm at an inflation pressure of 0.6 bar (9 psi), indicating minimal soil disturbance and promoting better soil health.
> Greater fuel savings: Laboratory dynamometer tests revealed that both the AgriXtra XL Standard and VF tyres outperformed other brands in fuel efficiency, offering significant cost savings and environmental benefits.
> Improved traction: The tyres achieved higher tractive forces with reduced slip rates in field tests, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
“Our tyres delivered critical advantages during the comparative testing, earning them the DLG Seal of Approval,” Maxam's vice president of global agriculture, Greg Gilland, said. “This confirms that we offer a superior product that delivers exceptional value on all comparative measures at a more competitive price.”
The AgriXtra XL series is specifically designed for high-horsepower tractors and harvesters. The VF (Very High Flexion) tyres provide up to 40% higher load capacity or can operate at 40% lower air pressure without compromising speed or performance. This flexibility allows farmers to reduce soil compaction and improve fuel efficiency, directly contributing to increased productivity and sustainability.
“By reducing soil compaction, enhancing fuel savings and improving traction, our AgriXtra XL tyres help farmers achieve greater profitability while promoting sustainable farming practices,” Gilland added.
